Conditions

  • Nominations to Chief Steward by Thursday, prior to Show.
  • Trials are conducted under the Sheep Dog Workers' Assoc. Inc. Rules and Regulations.
  • Trials commence Monday, 13th August 2012
  • Presentations are Tuesday afternoon, 14th August 2012
  • Entry fees: Encourage - $5, Novices - $5.00, Improvers - $ 5.00, W. H. Hall Memorial Open - $7.00
  • Camping $10 per night

Section

1. Encourage Trail.

· First Prize - $40, Second Prize - $30, Third Prize - $20, Fourth Prize - $10

2. Uel Simmons Memorial Novice Trial - open to all dogs who have never won a First Prize in any trial.

· First Prize $90.00 and Trophy (Value $100.00), Second Prize - $55.00, Third Prize - $30.00, Fourth Prize - $10

3. Bernie Quade Memorial Improver Dog Trial Run in conjunction with Open Trial

· First Prize - $80.00, Second Prize - $50.00, Third Prize - $20.00.

4. W. H. Hall Memorial Open Trial - open to dogs who have broken their novice status.

· First Prize - $150.00 and Trophy (Value $150.00), Second Prize - $90.00, Third Prize - $55.00, Fourth Prize - $20

5. Fastest Completed Run - either Novice, Improver or Open dog.

· First Prize - $15.00.

6. Local Trial - a Novice event run in conjunction with Section 1.
Entrant to reside within 40 km radius of Trundle

A Country Town Rescue

Trundle will receive Australia wide attention when the six part factual series Country Town Rescue screens from Tuesday, March 27 at 8pm on ABC 1.

Country Town Rescue, produced by Za-pruder's Other Films, is an observational documentary series filmed over a year in Trundle.

It's the compelling story of how ordinary Australians come together to save a small rural town whose falling population threatens its very existence,

To save the town from dying a small group of dedicated locals get together and try to boost the town's population by enticing newcomers to the area by offering up abandoned farmhouses for just $1 a week,

Over 400 families applied for only five available farmhouses.
