Bogan Gate is located approximately 23 km to the south of Trundle and has a population of 200 people. There is an outstanding Craft Shop in the old Railway Station which is open weekends & Public Holidays (which fall on a Monday), from 10am - 5pm. Devonshire Teas are also served. A great rest stop for the weary traveller is Burrawang Park, where you will find a children's playground and BBQ facilities and a plaque in recognition of Lt Harry "Breaker" Morant work in the area and a replica of the origional Bogan Gate.
Bogan Gate has a nine hole golf course with the Bogan Gate Mens Golf Tournament- 2nd Sunday in September

When your returning to Trundle, why not turn off on Blow Clear Road for some local folklore and military history of WW2. Follow Blow Clear Road till you come to the Middle Trundle Road interection and pull over and take a look at what you see.
If it was during the WW2 period and you were looking south (back along blow clear Road) you would see:
1. To your left: an air strip was located at the edge of the paddock2. To your right: where the State Forrest is - if you look really hard you can see where the aircaft bays were cut into the tree line. At times planes were located in these bays with camoflague nets drapped over them.
