The small town of Fifield began as a mining town. Fifield’s main industry these days is agriculture with many sheep, cattle and cropping properties surrounding the town. Take a break on your way through town at the Fifield Hotel for a cool drink.

2.   Tullamore Hotel - Tullamore

Tullamore is situated on the Bogan Way, an alternate north south route to the Newell Highway. Camping facilities are available at the Tullamore Showground, which is equipped with toilets, showers and laundry facilities and dump point.

The Tullamore Hotel is able to cater for all your needs with accommodation and meals available from the central location of the main street.

3.   Rabbit Trap Hotel - Albert

Much of the country around Albert has provided inspiration for Australian’s poets, authors and artists.

The Albert Rabbit Trap Hotel was the inspiration for Eric Jolliffe of Saltbush Bill fame. An isolated watering hole, the Rabbit Trap Hotel in Albert is a welcome respite for any traveller and a ‘must see’ when you’re visiting the Heart of NSW.

Albert also offers a golf course and nearby is Dandaloo Church and graveyard - almost all that remains of the once thriving Dandaloo Village

4.   Trundle Hotel - Trundle

Situated on "The Bogan Way", Trundle is a rural community with production consisting mostly of wheat, sheep and cattle farming.

If you're looking to capture a classic photo of a country town, look no further than Trundle. Imagine standing on New South Wales' widest main street, next to the longest wooden verandah in Australia! This famous verandah belongs to the Heritage Listed Trundle Hotel, which was built in 1909. The two storey hotel was built out of pise mud, rendered with cement and adorned with a 66 metre long wooden verandah. Today the hotel offers a great spot for a drink, counter meal or accommodation. There are no problems with making an angle park in Trundle. Forbes Street is NSW's widest main street, co-incedently also measuring 66 metres.
