Hullo again! With the Bush tucker day nearing, I can feel that Trundle is ready to RRRRumble!!
Being sun safe is the smart thing to do. Australia has one of the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. Research indicates that young children and babies have sensitive skin and leave them most vulnerable to sunburn and skin damage. Exposure during the first 15 years of life can greatly increase the risk of developing skin cancer in later life.
All adults and children should use a combination of sun protection measures .
Try to stay in the shade. Shade option can include a combination of portable, natural and built shade. A sun safe hat is broad rimmed. Baseball caps do not provide enough sun protection. Clothing that cover much of the skin especially shoulders back and stomach is required, this may include loose-fitting shirts and tops. Sunscreen should be applied 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapplied every 2 hours. Sunglasses are also recommended. Trundle Pharmacy have sunglasses, sunscreens and healing creams for sunburns. Check with your trundle pharmacist. Drink lots of water and keep well hydrated.
Have an enjoyable Bush Tuckers Day!
